A new “etoile” for St Prex
St Prex, May 17th, 2011 – The St Prex Classics is serving up an additional treat, Aurélie Dupont, star dancer or etoile of the Paris Opera, who will further enrich a programme that was already going to be particularly succulent this year.
She will join Philippe Jaroussky, Nigel Kennedy, Gautier Capuçon and her Paris Opera colleague Jérémie Bélingard in an all-star cast at the 6th St Prex Classics. Aurélie Dupont is one of the best known and most highly rated performers on the ballet scene.
French newspaper Le Figaro had no hesitation in writing that “each of her appearances is a wonder. Aurélie Dupont has never been so beautiful, so perfect, so truly feminine.”
Aurélie Dupont will add a touch of grace to a special programme devised by star violinist Nigel Kennedy and Jérémie Bélingard, choreographer and star dancer at the Paris Opera.
Nigel Kennedy will be accompanied by Kroke, the celebrated Polish ensemble that rose to fame playing Klezmer music.
Nigel Kennedy, Jérémie Bélingard and Aurélie Dupont will present a unique and stunning programme over two explosive evenings on the 26th and 27 of August.
In view of the strong demand for tickets, these performances will take place exceptionally in the Théâtre de Beausobre at Morges. The St Prex Classics 2011 is being staged away from its usual home (the other concerts will take place in the hall of the Vieux-Moulin and at the Romanesque church) before returning to its usual residence in the Vieux Bourg from 2012.
